Watershed Cruzin' Workshop at the Seymour Center

Excite your students about exploring the great outdoors! Grade 4-8 teachers and educators are invited to join the Santa Cruz County Resource Conservation District (SCCRCD) and the Seymour Center on Thursday, September 17, from 3-6 PM, for a free teacher workshop on Santa Cruz County watersheds. Find out how to effectively fulfill state education standards with thematic, inquiry based investigations while using your local environmental and agency resources to help your students learn about neighborhood streams, rivers, ponds, and wetlands in their own neighborhoods. Julia Davenport, Watershed Cruzin' creator, will lead the workshop along with two mentor teachers. Field trip included!
