Agricultural Program Specialist
Erin manages agricultural water resources stewardship programs with the RCD of Santa Cruz County. She works with growers, public and private partners to reduce sediment and pesticide loading from farms, implement stormwater collection and infiltration projects, and improve irrigation efficiency. Erin has been working at the nexus between agriculture and water resources since 2012. Before coming to the RCD, she worked as a water resources consultant, worked at the Elkhorn Slough Reserve, and worked as a biologist in watersheds in northern California and Hawaii. Erin has a Master’s degree in Ocean Sciences from UC Santa Cruz where her research focused on socioeconomics of natural resource management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology.
